Shoe Box Swap from January

So I know this is way, way late too since Shoe Box is only 2 weeks away again. But I have just been behind with everything so hopefully this is a new start again.....LOL I know what your thinking..... "Whatever Tamarra",But I am trying. (For those of you who don't know a shoe box swap is it is where everyone coming brings a project sample so everyone can see what they are making, and all the supplies for everyone to make one but they each stamp their own)

More Late Valentines Day stuff....

I'm a day later then I wanted to be but after typing the post out my computer locked and I lost it all. Not feeling happy with my computer I decided to wait until today, sorry. Anyway, here is what my girls gave away at school for their valentines this year. Inside were Twilight conversation hearts.

As usual everything is from Stampin' Up! unless other wise noted.

Stamps: I {Heart} Hearts

Ink: Real Red, Rose Red and Whisper White

Card Stock: Basic Black, Regal Rose and Whisper White

Accessories: Full Heart Punch, Dimenisonals, stapler and personal paper cutter with a score blade.

They open like a match book with the mini bag of conversation hearts inside.

Here is something I made a few of to give to a few friends.

Card Stock: Chocolate Chip and Sweet Always (I think) Designer Series Paper (retired)

Accessories: Heart to Heart Punch, sticky strip and Hershey nuggets

So I seem to have fallen off the face of the Earth but I really am still here.... just not HERE! Ok so on to the reason your here.Stamping stuff....LOL

These are the Valentine's my girls gave to their best friends for Valentine's..... I actually made more then just 3 but didn't think to take a picture until they had already given some away.... I know, bad me.

Another Inspired by Nature card

It has been a while since I have participated in the Stamping411 Challenge. So today I decided it would be a good day to get back on track with it. When I first looked up the challenge I thought maybe next week would be a better week to come back. But then I figured that, that is why it is called a challenge because it could be hard and challenging. And it was. I looked at it off and on all morning, then I did the dishes and cleaned up a bit and it hit me. So here is what I came up with.....

Stamp Set: Inspired by Nature

Inks: Chocolate Chip SWM, Cameo Coral SWM, Summer Sun SWM, Old Olive SWM and Always Artichoke SWM

Card Stock: Cameo Coral, Chocolate Chip and Naturals Ivory

Accessories: Blender Pens, Color Spritzer Tool,  Paper Piercer and mat pack

So what do you think? Does it work? Does it need ribbon on the side or a different color for the main part of the card?

My 2 hour card........

Have you ever started something and then had so many distractions that it took a lot longer to complete then it should have? That would be this card. I started it thinking cool with the sketch already done this should be a quick card. BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Nearly 2 hours later I finished the card just in time to take it with me to pick up the girls from school and ask a friend how she liked it best. I had part of it done with DOTTO so I could change it if needed. I know your wondering what took so long to get it done. I had more distractions today then one could imagine. It seemed like every time I started to work on it something else happened that required my attention more then the card. It's done and after 2 hours I have decided that this is how it will remain. The sketch came from a Blog called Cards & Things Challenge Blog.

Stamp Set: Crazy for Cupcakes

Inks: Basic Black, Pretty in Pink, Old Olive, Rose Red, Bashful Blue and Taken with Teal- Confession- I have had this Ink Pad since we changed Ink Pad styles and today is the first time I have used it. I actually had to take the shrink wrap off of it. I know shame on me.

Card stock: Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Whisper White and Sweet Pea Designer Series Paper Stack

Accessories: 2 way glue, Dazzling Diamonds, Crystal Effects, 3/4 circle punch, 1in circle punch, 1 3/8 in circle punch and Stamp-a-ma-jig

Have you ever done this??

To start I just want to say, "look it's a Mojo Monday on a Monday"!! OK now back to the question; Have you ever done this before? I am hoping I am not alone on this. I start cards with the idea of what is in my head. More often then not if I have the sketch I will start with the lay out and move on to the stamped image last. Well today was one of those days. I started this card and got all of it mounted down except the white circle in the center, I got up to get the stamp set and realized that I lent out Trendy Trees to a Friend. Oops, now what. So keep that in mind when you look at my card, the set was suppose to be Trendy Trees.

Ok so now on to the card, as usual all the items used come from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted.

Christmas left overs.....

Hi all. I know I have been missing but we had family in town for the holidays and I spent my time with them. Anyway, I have a few Christmas projects left over to share with you all. They are from our shoe box swap last month, keep in mind it was a small group this time so only 4 new projects and mine which you have already seen. So here we go.....

This is the project that we made that my downline Duma had prepped. It was full of chocolates by I have a husband and kids :-)

This one is one of Evie's. Quick and simple. The bottom square is for a picture.

 

This is the project Kathy brought for us to make. Another one that was quick and easy.......

Then there was Evie's other one...... how stinking cute is this? Now I must confess I didn't finish mine. There should be lights on the house and berries on the wreath but I decided to call it a night and finish it at home...HA it is still waiting. LOL

Santa Clause Bag swap

Hello all! I know, I know, where in the world have I been. Since the hospital stay I have been sick a few times and in between that life just seems to have happened. And since I was 2 months behind on most things from being sick I am still playing catch up on some of it. I know I should have tried harder to stop by and say "HI" but I had to let something slide a bit and my BLOG was the chosen one, so to speak. So I will try to do better and post more often but if I come up missing here and there at least you know why.

I have told you that one of the clubs I do, does a bag swap ones a quarter. This quarter we had to spell SANTA CLAUSE with our projects. So here is the one I made, I even made a Christmas poem to go with it. 

Lets get on to the samples. As usual all the stamp supplies are from Stampin' Up! unless other wise noted.

T'was the morning before card swap, when all through my mind not a project was stirring not of any kind.

 

A Stocking was filled and ready to go,  

 

 

 

 

Cute Socks huh, and they were perfect since the swap was SANTA CLAUS. They were filled with a random selection of embellishments that I had purchased. You can kind of tell because the toes are way out of proportion.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A box with a tag  

 

This picture was taken before I finished the tag. The box was filled with a ton of different sizes and shapes of tags.  As you can see the little bags they are in are coming out the top.

 

or an old Nut can, would they know?  

 

The can is an empty Girl Scout Nut can. You can see the lid on the bottom. I did decorate the lid too so that if the receiver wanted to use it again they could. Inside the can is a cinnamon apple pie candle. The black sting you see is because I had already attached the letter for the swap before I remembered to talk a picture of it.

 

 

I hoped an idea would soon come along or this was going to take way to long!

 

The kids were still nestled all snug in their beds, while I'm sure visions of  Treat box-es danced in their heads.

It was filled with hershey kisses.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A bath I could use to clear my thoughts,  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The tubes of homemade bath salts were inside the mug. I ran out of time to stamp a box for them to go in. ~again life happens!~

The box was filled with miniature chocolate candy bars. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then all of a sudden "I GOT IT" I said, a box you can Look through 

 

 

 

The ornament was the same that I posted a tutorial to a few post back.

The cube is a Photo cube album that you put pictures on before you mail or give it away. I put this ornament on the inside. Usually the ribbon wouldn't be around it like that but I wanted to make sure the ornament didn't fall out.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'm usually so good and have no trouble at all, but tonight I'm at a loss and just stuck on stall!

 

Unusual box-es are usually my forte',

 

 

 

 

The stocking is filled with chocolates and a Gift Card to Target.

 

 

 

-I will am typing out a tutorial for the stocking that will be up hopefully this weekend.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But now I only have a Santa box to give away.
