Ok I know I had said I was going to try to get this up yesterday but my Husband was working on the computer. It has been acting up lately and he was fixing it. So I am a day late for yesterday but a day early for a Tuesday Tutorial, Right?
Ok so here is how I make the 3-D flower you see in the SAB mini.
To start I cut the Designer Series Paper at 1 1/4 inch x 12 inches. I am sure you can cut it differently but this is the size I liked and it made for easy measuring.
Next run the strip you just cut through your Scalloped Edge Punch. This will make she scoring much easier then measuring all the way across.
Now all you have to do is score at the "Valley" all the way across your strip. Now how cool is that.... no measuring!! The super awesome Scalloped Edge Punch did it for you!
Ok now it is time to revert back to when you were a kid and made paper fans. You fold up then down then and down again until you reach the end of your strip.
Put a little SNAIL on the one end. (I have made about 10 of these and haven't had a problem with using SNAIL)
Adhere the 2 ends together to get a circle. And now for the tricky part.......
Now while holding it with one hand push the inside (hidden) edge down. Making sure that the Side of the DSP you want hidden is facing up. Once you get it flattened and squeezes the center together place a Pop-Up Dot on the center to hold it in place. You can let go of you flower now; it will fold up a tiny bit but will not stick to itself.
If you haven't done so already prep your card so that it is basically finished. Once you put the flower on it will become very difficult to adhere the layers together.
Now place your flower on your card and decorate the center how you want to finish it off. I use SNAIL to hold down the center and didn't have a problem. I did however notice when I tried to use Dimenisionals to hold the center down you CAN'T put only one in the center because it tends not to stick, as the dimensional sits inside the small "hole" in the center of the flower.
Ta-Da there you have it your very own 3-D Flower. Notice the difference in the 2 flowers. The one on the Left the scalloped edge is on the outside and the right it is flat on the outside.
Good Luck and if your try it be sure to drop me a commit with a link to your card so I can check it out.
Do to so so many questions I will post a tutorial about the tooth picks for the cupcakes tomorrow.

thanks for this great tutorial! I loved the fan folded flower in the SAB mini but hadn't starting thinking about how to CASE it yet. Love the idea about using the scallop punch to create the cute edging AND give you the score lines, too. Very clever! Thanks so much for sharing and love the photo tutorial as I tend to be a "visual person" like so many others!
